One of CHEIA’s main areas of focus is to promote good practice to Internal Auditors through the annual conference and regional and training events. CHEIA is committed to organising high quality and relevant events to support the professional development of members but also help contribute to the sustainability of CHEIA.
Booking for Events
CHEIA events will be publicised on the CHEIA website and via other channels as considered appropriate.
Most events are open to both CHEIA members and non-members.
Individuals are required to book places via the CHEIA website; this is accessible by non-members and individuals do not need to be registered with the CHEIA website to access this functionality.
Purchase order numbers should be provided (if necessary) at the time of booking.
When an individual registers to attend an event run by CHEIA, we collect the individual’s personal data (first and last name, e-mail address, job title, phone number, employing institution or company and dietary requirements) which we use to communicate with the individual about the event and finalise arrangements with the event venue. Individuals will also be asked to give consent for their names and institutions to be included in delegate lists for events.
CHEIA Regional events are provided free of charge to all delegates.
CHEIA Training courses and the annual conference are charged at the rates advertised for each event.
Delegate fees may be different for members and non-members.
Where a fee is charged, an invoice will be sent to the individual at the email address provided at the time of booking. Invoices are due for settlement immediately.
Cheques should be made payable to CHEIA and sent only to the address on the invoice.
BACs transfers can also be made, ONLY to the account provided on the invoice.
Card payments are not accepted.
All fees are in UK Pounds Sterling and any cheques must be drawn on a UK Bank Account.
Refunds and Cancellations
Individuals who book places at CHEIA events and cannot subsequently attend are requested to find a substitute in advance, if possible, and notify the CHEIA Administrator so that the new delegate’s details and privacy consent may be obtained prior to the event.
For training courses: where an individual cannot arrange a substitute, a full refund will be made for cancellations for received up to ten days before the event, but only if CHEIA can sell the place to someone else. No refund will be made if cancelled places cannot be sold on and no refund will be made for non-attendance on the day.
For CHEIA Conferences, there will be no refund for any cancellation made four weeks or less before the Conference due to the contractual commitment that CHEIA has with Conference Centres. No refund will be made for non-attendance for the whole or part of the conference.
The costs of events which are free of charge to the delegate are borne by CHEIA (eg catering costs, room hire, speakers’ expenses.) The Executive reserves the right to charge any individual who has booked a place at a free event and withdraws without substitute or fails to attend the event.
CHEIA reserves the right to make changes to the conference or other event programme if necessary.
In the event of any course cancellation by CHEIA, fees paid will be refunded or by arrangement transferred to other courses.
