Hot on the heels of our highly successful in person event in April, we are pleased to announce our annual CHEIA Conference which we will be holding slightly later this year on Wednesday, 18th and Thursday, 19th September.
To keep our costs and the environmental impact down, and to make it as accessible to as many CHEIA Members as possible, the conference will again be held online using the ‘Ring Central’ platform (formerly known as Hopin) for speaker sessions, combined with facilitated breakout sessions via ‘Teams’ at the end of each day to follow up on some of the themes raised in earlier sessions.
As always, we have endeavoured to make sure there is something for everyone, picking up on some of the key issues facing us as Internal Audit professionals and the ever changing HE sector risks.
The focus of Day One of the conference will be on the implications of the new global IIA standards, and in particular we will be taking a closer look at Ethics and Internal Audit Professionalism to help you fulfil the CPE requirements of the new standards. There will also be presentations on Governance Effectiveness and the Risks Associated with Managing our Estates.
The programme for Day Two will have a more practical audit feel and will include sessions on Auditing Student Recruitment and Marketing Risks, the ongoing risk of Financial Sustainability at our institutions and how auditors can help, Complying with Trusted Research Principles and and how we can bring the Student Context into our audit work.
The full programme for the conference can be viewed here.
